Kansas City casino could generate $203 million
A planned online casino in Kansas City could generate $203 million in internet gambling revenues its first year, according to the Kansas City Star.
The proposed Hollywood Casino is a joint partnership between the Kansas Speedway and Penn National Gaming. They say it could open as early as January 2012, according to the Star. It will include online slots, table games and eventually a hotel.
A consultant’s report said that the casino is projected to generate $203 million in 2013, with revenue jumping to $261 million after the hotel is completed.
The state’s Lottery Gaming Facilities Review Board will vote on the proposed casino in December, the Star reports.
